Philippians 2:
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
It’s crazy to me to truly sit and think about what Jesus really did on the cross. Imagine, if one of us were God would we give that up to come and be a servant who is hated by the leaders of the land we are in and then go on to suffer one of the most gruesome, most painful, embarrassing, horrible deaths the world has ever seen just to have a relationship with the people who have already betrayed me? No way.
Just think of the amount of humility that was demanded of Jesus after the immense amount of his never ending love for us. It seems absolutely nuts that anybody would ever give up heaven for 30 years just so they could have a relationship with people that continuously deny them and constantly turn away from them. But that, is the beauty it. Christ, out of humility, became a servant who never once looked into his own interests but instead stressed an importance on the interests of those around him. He was so humble and loved us so much he died on the cross just to be with us for eternity.
It all just seems so unreal, unknowable, that’s where I can find the truth in it. Time to humble myself. As hard as it is to swallow my pride and take on humility, it all seems so small when I look into the details of what Jesus did.

Why try harder when we know to try less. Why take control when we know to let go. Why do it on our own we we know Jesus does it best.
Thank you Jesus. I needed that. Time to let go, give it up, and let Jesus be in control. Anything I do on my own, as empty as I am, is of the flesh. So Jesus, take the reigns, and my heart go with you.

People keep asking me what I want to do with my life and where I want to go to college and I can’t help but wonder, how did America become so conditioned to think all smart people will go to college, get a successful career, and live happily ever after. I feel like something is missing. What if…
So sick. Love this. Can totally relate

God doesn’t want something from us. He simply wants us.
